I used to trade it all for the work. From the time I was nine years old, I took my artwork very seriously. I wanted to be a choreographer and a famous one at that. At some point (probably thanks to the psychedelics) I realized that the real work, the valuable work was what I was doing in the privacy of my own mind and heart. The art product was the evidence left over of a process I was having by myself.
I used to say that I had the heart of a visual artist who works alone, but had somehow ended up a choreographer who works with casts of dancers. As I incorporated Creative Journey into my life, my creative psychedelic guiding project, it all became more aligned. The private, internal process is the most crucial work I do. Now I help others locate that path in the woods within themselves. Then we both observe the evidence unfold on the outside in their lives, relationships, families, and careers.
The Art is Evidence of an internal process achieved.
